Palm kernel oil is an edible plant oil made from the kernel of the oil palm or the seed of the fruit.  It is commonly used in West Africa for cooking because it is lower in cost than other oils and remains stable at high cooking temperatures.

Raw palm kernel oil is a highly stable saturated oil from the seed of the palm and not the fruit. This oil is food grade and is also used in many personal care products.
