Waterleaf is an edible leafy vegetable that belongs to the Portulacea family. It was originally from West Africa before spreading to other parts of the world, such as Asia and South America.  It is rich in Vitamins (vitamin A and B) and includes minerals like calcium and iron. However, it is high in Oxalic Acid. The leaves taste good in okra soup.
